2. Scope
This statement covers the website madaboutbrands.nl. Our software products under the Mad Sys label (such as Bond & Beyond) have their own privacy statements.
3. Data we process and why
Contact form and email
We process your name, email address, phone number (optional), your message and the date/time — to answer your enquiry and, where relevant, to prepare or carry out a business relationship. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(f) and (b) GDPR).
Spam protection
The contact page uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes technical data such as IP address and browser characteristics to check that a submission is made by a human. Legal basis: legitimate interest in protecting our website and mailbox against abuse.
Server logs
When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data (such as IP address, browser type, requested page and time) to deliver the website and keep it secure. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
5. Who receives your data
Our hosting provider, our email service provider (used to deliver contact form messages to our mailbox) and Cloudflare (Turnstile). They act as processors on our behalf. We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for marketing.
6. Transfers outside the EEA
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision (including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where applicable).
7. How long we keep your data
- Contact enquiries: as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up, and no longer than two years after our last contact, unless a business relationship results from it, in which case statutory retention periods (such as the 7-year fiscal retention obligation) may apply.
- Server logs: kept briefly by the hosting provider for security purposes.
8. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. The site is served over HTTPS.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability.
To exercise these rights, email info@madaboutbrands.nl. We respond within one month and may ask you to verify your identity.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
